Visual artist of dual nationality born in Miami in 1984 and raised in Quebec where she completed a Bachelors degree in Art in 2006. The artist combines physical training and arts taught by her parents at a young age to develop her own way of expression. More specifically, her dancing experience served as a springboard to develop her personality and love for aesthetics of the human body that she shows in her pictorial practices. Since 2007, the artist made a living by combining the performing and visual arts mediums in an intimate relationship. In 2006, she began her professional artistic career at the Museum Marius Barbeau with her first solo, Corporal Traces. In the same year she earned the Art Diagonale prize and several others in the following years. She has gained experience with exhibitions in galleries, private companies and collective events between Miami and Quebec. Fall 2011, her career will be marked by a second solo at the Moulin La Lorraine located on the south shore of Quebec.

Inspired by the body and the experience of mankind, Cynthia's creative approach is in a reconstitution of the body by fragments and using a highly sensitive approach that offers reflection on our identity and our existence. Referring to the body and its evolution, degeneration, mutation, she developed her pictorial research marked by her interests in the performing arts, space effects, organic forms and internal forces. Through her work, the artist presents her thoughts on the soul and matter, consciousness and the universe.
